Jennifer Kalberg grew up between Portland and Corbett, Oregon, moving to North Carolina in 2013. She graduated from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with her Associate of Fine Arts in 2019, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Painting at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte in 2021. Jennifer has participated in several group exhibitions in Salisbury, Charlotte, Concord, and Raleigh. She was commissioned to create a commemorative artwork in honor of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Chancellor Sharon Gaber’s official inauguration ceremony in celebration of the University’s 75th anniversary. She was additionally commissioned by the Office of Donor Relations to create a painting for a University donor. In 2022, Jennifer co-curated the group exhibition Of Heaven & Earth, an exhibition about humanity’s layered existence in relation to the mental, physical, and spiritual.  Since then, she joined Elder Gallery of Contemporary Art as their Gallery Associate. There, she has had an active hand in the installation and curation of various exhibitions, including Disrupting the Matrix: Impressions, a  community-driven exhibition, highlighting works in printmaking by recent graduates of the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
She maintains an active artist studio in Charlotte, North Carolina.
